03 replaced costly-to-call 084/087 numbers and enabled businesses to provide customer service contact numbers without high call rates. It has become a widely accepted number range and is also now used extensively by local government, the NHS and charities.

So, what is 03 Re-Routing?

When callers phone your 03 number, your telecoms provider will charge you a FEE* to route calls to your chosen location

*This will be a call cost, a bundle charge or part of a service rental.

With 03 re-routing the same calls to your existing 03 number/s are routed to the same location but the routing FEE is reduced.

Is 03 Re-Routing safe?

YES! Our networks already carry over 100 million minutes per month, and even carry calls for the Emergency services.

03 services are split into 2 categories.

1. Simple or PBX/Switchboard Termination

With this service your 03 callers will be routing to a “terminating number”, which is often a single 01/02 number or your switchboard’s normal number. The service gives you all the normal 03 benefits, such as a UK-wide presence (great for home-working) and can indicate if you are a business or a charity/NHS provider. Your cost should be just the call routing, yet we will calculate your actual costs and then let you know if a move could be worthwhile. If re-routing is justified, it’s really simple and incredibly safe.

Calls to your existing 03 will be re-routed through 03COMMS to join many others already trusting our networks and generating over 100 million minutes per month! With these high volumes comes savings, which is why we say, after adding re-routing, you should pay 50% less. Also, if you’re currently paying for your 03 number, or any other extras, all these costs can often be completely abolished!

2. Integrated IVR Termination

With this style of service callers to your existing 03 number/s route to an IVR (“Interactive Voice Response Service”), better known as a “press 1 to connect…” service. IVRs can be very good, yet the majority are grossly over-priced! Their running costs are low yet, by including bundles of “free” minutes, many can often seem really good value. Don’t be fooled!
